8 Ways to Reduce Your Binance Fees
Most traders pay more in fees than they need to. Here’s how to minimize every fee on Binance.

1. Use a Referral Code (20% Off)
Sign up with referral code RATE20 for 20% off all trading fees. This is permanent and cannot be added later.
Savings: 0.10% → 0.08% per trade
2. Pay Fees with BNB (25% Off)
Hold BNB in your spot wallet and enable “Use BNB for fees” in settings.
Savings: Stacks with referral → effective fee ~0.06%
3. Use Limit Orders
Limit orders pay maker fees (lower than taker). On futures, maker fees are 60% cheaper.
4. Increase VIP Tier
| VIP Level | 30d Volume (USDT) | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular | < 1M | 0.10% | 0.10% |
| VIP 1 | ≥ 1M | 0.09% | 0.09% |
| VIP 2 | ≥ 5M | 0.08% | 0.09% |
| VIP 3 | ≥ 20M | 0.07% | 0.08% |
5. Use BUSD/Stablecoin Pairs
Some stablecoin trading pairs have promotional zero-fee or reduced-fee campaigns.
6. Choose the Cheapest Withdrawal Network
TRC-20 for USDT costs $1 vs $20 on ERC-20. Lightning for BTC is free.
7. Avoid Frequent Small Trades
Each trade incurs a fee. Consolidate into fewer, larger trades when possible.
8. Stack Everything Together
Maximum discount stack:
- Referral: 20% off
- BNB payment: 25% off
- VIP tier: up to 50% off
- Maker orders: 60% cheaper on futures
Combined effective rate for VIP 3 + referral + BNB maker orders on futures: ~0.01%

Know what a referral link actually provides
Be cautious with referral codes or links that do not clearly identify their provider and benefit. SmallDrift’s official RATE20 link provides a 20% trading-fee discount, and Binance’s signup page transparently displays SmallDrift, RATE20, the discount, and the referral benefit before account creation.
